De 1914 à 1918 on compte 70 généraux allemands tués au combat dont un maréchal (et 41 généraux français) . Comme quoi les idées toutes faites sur les généraux qui se planquaient…Le premier général allemand tué au combat a été tué le 6 aout 1914, 3 jours après le début de la guerre et le dernier a été tué en octobre 1918…
